Job summary

Hall & Kay is seeking a design engineer to develop sprinkler systems on Main Contract projects. You will coordinate with clients and other trades, producing fully designed drawings and hydraulic calculations while supporting project delivery in the North West region.

We require extensive sprinkler design experience, proficiency in Autocad, familiarity with Revit, and knowledge of LPCB/NFPA standards. A driving license and willingness to travel are essential for occasional site visits.

Qualifications

Comprehensive experience in a design engineering role within the sprinkler industry.
Knowledge of LPCB standards and NFPA standards.
Autocad proficiency; Revit 3D experience desirable.
Experience with hydraulic calculation software, Canute is desirable.
HND or Degree in construction/engineering design.
Experience leading a team and client-facing communication.
Full driving license; willing to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

Develop sprinkler system design through coordination with clients and other services.
Support design programme and satisfy contract specifications.
Produce complete working drawings and hydraulic calculations.
List materials for procurement and cost estimation.
Issue completion documents and certifications.
Attend site meetings as needed to discuss design matters.
Obtain information from parties for fully designed drawings.
Familiarize with and apply company policies and procedures.
