Job description

Paint Technician

On-Target Earnings of £70,000 plus uncapped earning potential.

In addition to the above, you will receive a 9% employer-contributed pension—regardless of whether you contribute into your pension or not! Other benefits associated with this role are outlined below.

DLG is evolving. Across every facet of our business, our teams are embracing new opportunities and putting customers at the heart of everything they do. By joining our Auto Services team, you’ll become part of a network of repair centres with a simple mission: to deliver high-quality repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible for our more than 100,000 customers. As we look to the future, you can look to yours too. From technical capability to customer relations, you’ll find a place where you can really thrive. We’ve got this!

What you'll be doing

As a Paint Technician, we want you to bring your previous experience, skills, and knowledge to the team. You'll need to demonstrate experience in painting small and large jobs on a wide variety of vehicles, and be confident in all aspects of preparing vehicles—including buffing, polishing, and priming surfaces before spray painting—and working to meet our customers' needs. If you love to stay busy, this role is really for you. You will work within a team of painters, panel beaters, and MET fitters, reporting to your workshop controller.

What you'll need

The future is exciting as the technologies used in Body Shops are evolving every day, helping us reshape the vehicle repair industry. We're excited to grow our teams and are looking for enthusiastic, upbeat, and committed individuals to join us. All roles are at the heart of our Auto Services business, and you'll need to be dedicated to delivering the best repair service.

Health and Safety and working to industry standards are important to us. We ensure our teams and customers' safety at each stage of the repair process, complying with Health and Safety regulations, Audatex estimates, observing DLGAS ways of working, and BS10125 procedures.

This is a permanent onsite role with either a 40 or 45-hour workweek, depending on the contract.

Benefits

We recognize that our colleagues are our greatest asset, which is why we offer excellent benefits designed to suit your lifestyle:

  • 9% employer-contributed pension
  • 50% off home, motor, and pet insurance, plus free travel insurance and Green Flag breakdown cover
  • Additional optional Health and Dental insurance
  • EV car scheme allowing colleagues to lease a new electric or plug-in hybrid car in a tax-efficient manner
  • Generous holidays
  • Buy as you earn share scheme
  • Employee discounts and cashback
  • And many more

We aim to support our people in working at their best—whatever that looks like—by offering flexibility, work-life balance, and benefits that recognize who you are and the life you live.
