Job summary

FDJ UNITED is seeking a Data Quality Engineer to strengthen the reliability of our Sportsbook data platform on AWS. You will embed data quality, observability, and governance into the data lakehouse that powers analytics, trading insights, and machine learning.

Join a fast-paced team shaping data trust across multiple markets, collaborate with engineers and analysts, and implement scalable quality checks from bronze to gold medallion layers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in data engineering or data quality.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale datasets.
• Experience implementing data quality checks (dbt tests, Soda) and validation frameworks.
• Familiarity with data pipelines (Airflow, Spark, dbt) and AWS.
• Understanding data modelling, lifecycle concepts and observability.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, analysts and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data quality frameworks across batch and streaming pipelines.
• Define and enforce data quality rules for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Build automated validation checks within ingestion and transformation workflows.
• Develop monitoring to detect data drift and pipeline failures.
• Define data contracts and schemas, and support data governance.
• Collaborate with data engineers to embed quality controls in medallion layers.
• Perform root-cause analysis of data issues and drive improvements.
• Establish and report data quality SLAs/SLOs.
