MLOps & DataOps Manager — Sportsbook Platform

Job summary

FDJ UNITED is seeking a DataOps/MLOps Manager to lead the evolution of our ML platform and data operations across sportsbook data platforms. You will manage a team, drive end-to-end ML lifecycle tooling, and collaborate with Data Engineering, Quants and ML teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and compliant delivery.

You will shape governance, automation, and deployment strategies while focusing on performance, cost efficiency, and developer experience across cloud-based workflows in AWS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DataOps, MLOps, or platform engineering roles.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers in a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of data engineering and ML workflows in production.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data/ML systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong experience with AWS and distributed processing (Spark, Kafka).
• Ability to operate strategically and hands-on when needed.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of DataOps and MLOps engineers, directing technical work.
• Define strategy for DataOps/MLOps across the sportsbook data platform.
• Build and evolve platform/tooling for end-to-end ML lifecycle management.
• Establish best practices for data/ML workflows, testing, deployment, rollback.
• Collaborate with DevOps to improve IaC and reproducible environments.
• Work with data engineers, quants and ML engineers to improve usability and velocity.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and alerting for data pipelines and models.
• Drive tooling standardisation while balancing flexibility and consistency.
• Ensure governance, reproducibility, lineage and compliance across platforms.
• Partner with product and business to align capabilities with priorities.
• Manage platform reliability, performance and cost within AWS.
