West Ham United FC offers Sports Therapy placement opportunities for motivated students to gain hands-on experience within the professional game. You will join our medical teams supporting player welfare, performance, recovery and rehabilitation across the Men’s Category 1 Academy, Women’s First Team and Women’s Academy.

We seek candidates with a passion for elite sport, strong communication and a proactive mindset, ready to learn in a multidisciplinary setup.

Formación

Men's Category 1 Academy, Women's First Team and Women's Academy.

YOUR ROLE | MAKE AN IMPACT

• Support the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute sporting injuries.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of injury prevention programmes.
• Contribute to player rehabilitation and return‑to‑play programmes.
• Develop your clinical reasoning, communication and practical skills.
• Gain valuable experience in the demands of elite academy and women's football.

PLACEMENT DETAILS

Season: June/July 2027 - May 2028

Contract: Work Placement

Hours: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.

Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS check with Children's Barred List check required.

Location: Ability to travel between multiple work venues is essential.

Essential Eligibility Criteria

• The placement must form part of your degree programme.
• Your degree programme must have an end date after January 2028.
• You must be able to commit to the entire 2027/28 season.
• You must be able to obtain the required Enhanced DBS check with Children's Barred List check.
• You must be able to travel to multiple venues of work.
