Job summary

Catapult in London is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to own end-to-end feature lifecycles, from concept to production. Join a central Data Science team that translates product briefs into algorithmic solutions, trains deep learning models, and delivers deployable Python artifacts powering analytics for elite athletes.

You will collaborate with senior data scientists, build pipelines from video ingestion to inference, optimize runtimes, and deploy cloud microservices with Docker, ONNX

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of classical computer vision and modern deep learning architectures.
• Experience sourcing, structuring, training, and benchmarking deep neural networks using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• High proficiency in Python with ability to read, build, and debug existing C++ codebases and build systems like CMake.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Pipeline: translate product requirements into computer vision solutions from raw video to production inference.
• Algorithm & Model Development: design, train, and evaluate deep learning architectures and classical pipelines.
• Geometric Computer Vision: develop calibration and mapping pipelines for accurate outputs.
• Modern Cloud & Containerised Deployment: architect and containerise Python microservices (Docker) for deployment.
• Desktop Applications Support: assist in building native binaries and ONNX Runtime integration for desktops.
• Automated Data Curation: build data-ingestion pipelines with model-assisted pre-labeling for clean datasets.
• Interface & Boundary Design: define API boundaries for seamless integration with downstream apps.
