Job description

Be Active Sports and Clubs are currently looking for enthusiastic and professional individuals with a passion for sports coaching and delivering PE. Applicants will be required to teach sport and physical education to children and young people in primary school settings. They should work in line with the PE national curriculum and/or set programs of study. Be Active Sports and Clubs deliver a wide range of extracurricular activities before school, at lunchtimes, after school, and during school holidays. Applicants should be aware they may need to work during these periods.

Responsibilities of a Sports Coach

1. Deliver PE lessons using provided schemes of work.
2. Inspire young people to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
3. Teach lessons in accordance with Ofsted criteria and the PE national curriculum.
4. Work closely with schools and staff to build positive relationships.
5. Own transport is required as travel to various schools will be necessary.
6. Be self-motivated and passionate about teaching/coaching sport.
7. Previous experience in a school environment is highly beneficial.
8. Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check and be deemed safe to work with children.
