Role Description: Are you a good listener? Can you manage group conversations and ensure participants feel comfortable? This role involves facilitating our Talk and Support weekly telephone groups, providing social opportunities for blind and partially sighted individuals when the regular facilitator is unavailable. The groups meet during the day from Monday to Friday.
This is a telephone-based role that you can perform from home. You will need access to a landline or mobile phone. We ask for a commitment to cover one or two groups per week, each lasting one hour.
Monday to Sunday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening
Approximately 3 hours per week. Volunteers aged 18-25 can claim Saltire Awards hours for this activity. Find out more.
