Job summary

Francis Baily Primary School in Colthrop invites applications for a part-time PE teacher (20 hours per week, term time only). You will deliver engaging PE lessons across the primary age range, align with the National Curriculum, and promote healthy lifestyles while building pupils’ movement skills and love of sport.

You will plan a range of sporting activities, accompany pupils to fixtures and festivals, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school sport culture.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching sport and/or delivering PE to children.
• Strong understanding of primary PE and the National Curriculum.
• Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Hold a full UK driving licence; willing to attend events and competitions.

Hours: 20 hours per week (term time only)
Working hours: 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31/08/2027

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about inspiring children to enjoy sport, physical activity and healthy lifestyles. The successful candidate will work with pupils across the primary age range, delivering high-quality PE lessons and sports provision that supports the National Curriculum, develops fundamental movement skills, and promotes lifelong participation in physical activity.
