Teaching Personnel is looking for passionate and motivated Sports Graduates or individuals with a strong background in physical education to join our partner secondary schools across Newport as a Sport Teaching Assistant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, support young people in their education journey, and use your enthusiasm for sports and fitness to inspire the next generation.
Classroom Support: Assist teachers across a range of subjects, incorporating physical activity into daily learning.
1:1 Student Support: Work closely with individual students who may be disengaged or require additional support.
Sport-Based Engagement: Use sports methods to help motivate students and create a positive, active learning environment.
Behavioural Support: Observe and encourage positive behaviours in the classroom.
Emotional Development: Provide emotional and social support to help students develop resilience and confidence.
Promote Health & Fitness: Encourage regular physical exercise and promote a healthy lifestyle throughout the school day.
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to register.
An Enhanced DBS (Child Only) on the Update Service (we can assist with this).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
