Job summary
Blackburn College is seeking a Lecturer in Sport to cover maternity leave. You will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to Sport programmes within the Technical Centre and focusing on student success, retention and pastoral support. You will also take on course leadership duties.
The role requires a UK Honours degree in a relevant subject or equivalent, a recognised teaching qualification (or working towards), and Level 2 Maths & English. Industrial experience in the field is essential.
Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Honours degree or UK ENIC degree in a relevant subject or equivalent.
- Must have a recognised teaching qualification or be currently working towards.
- Must have a Level 2 Maths & English qualification (or equivalent).
- Industrial experience in the discipline and up-to-date knowledge of current practice is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lecturer in Sport to cover maternity leave and lead a curriculum team.
- Deliver high-quality sport programmes and ensure student success.
- Contribute to curriculum design/development and pastoral support.
- Also perform course leader responsibilities within the department.
