Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and operational delivery of the Sport Health Tech Incubator.
  • Build strategic partnerships with NHS, academia, investors, and policy stakeholders.
  • Manage recruitment and support of sport and health tech start-ups and scale-ups.
  • Coordinate access to R&D facilities, academic expertise, and funding opportunities.
  • Deliver sector-specific innovation events such as sandpits and hackathons.
  • Oversee incubator operations, including space management and client experience.
  • Line manage the Incubator Administrator and collaborate across university services.
  • Report progress to internal and external governance boards.
  • Drive marketing, communications, and business development activities.
  • Ensure delivery of KPIs linked to the West Yorkshire Investment Zone funding.

Leeds Beckett University is seeking a dynamic and visionary Sport Health Tech Incubator Manager to lead a high-profile, regionally funded initiative that positions the university as a national leader in sport and health technology innovation.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver a strategic incubator programme that supports start-ups and scale-ups, drives regional economic growth, and enhances public health outcomes. The role is central to our mission as an anchor institution and aligns with the priorities of the West Yorkshire Investment Zone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and operational delivery of the Sport Health Tech Incubator.
