Job summary

ICF in London is seeking a Programme Coordinator to support the development, commissioning and evaluation of place-based sport and physical activity programmes. You will work with schools, local partners and communities to identify gaps and turn insights into action, helping widen participation and improve health and inclusion outcomes.

The role requires strong organisation, stakeholder engagement and experience with grants, monitoring and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting projects or programmes in sport, physical activity, public health, community development or a related field.
• Highly organised, with proven experience coordinating multiple workstreams across places.
• Understanding of the UK sport and physical activity landscape and the role of governing bodies, local authorities, schools and partners.
• Experience monitoring, evaluation, finance, grants or contracted delivery.
• Confident communication and partnership-working with diverse communities and organisations.
• Graduate-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent substantial experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate local action plans and delivery activity across community, education, sport, and voluntary-sector partners.
• Capture and share learning from grants including applications, milestones and expenditure checks.
• Maintain governance arrangements, risk logs, delivery trackers and reports for stakeholders.
• Use local data and insights to identify participation gaps and shape interventions.
• Support school funding bids, partnerships and business cases for programmes or facilities.
• Organise network meetings, workshops and engagement activity and follow through on actions.
• Contribute to evaluation, learning reports and case studies to demonstrate outcomes.
