Job summary

A healthcare service provider in Birmingham is looking for an experienced Team Leader/Senior Spinal Injury Support Worker. This role requires leading and motivating care staff while ensuring excellent person-centered care for clients with spinal injuries. You will manage rotas, conduct assessments, and provide hands-on care when necessary. Base pay range

Location: Birmingham
Job Type: Zero-hour contract
Shifts: 12 hour day shifts & night shifts. Team Leader expectations would be a split of hours on the rota as a Support Worker, alongside hours for administration/other duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and motivate care staff to deliver outstanding person‑centred care
• Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and competency assessments
• Assist with rota management and ensure adequate staffing for each care package
• Maintain accurate care records
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, families, and professionals
• Support with training and development of care staff
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations
• Provide hands‑on care when required to maintain service continuity

• Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with Spinal Injury, catheter care and bowel management
• A caring and compassionate nature
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
