Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for a support worker to join an established and supportive care team working alongside a client in Milton Keynes. The client is a man in his early 20s with complex needs, including mobility issues and personal care, who wishes to continue living an active life. The successful candidate will have experience working with brain injury or complex needs, and possess strong communication skills and the motivation to build a supportive relationship.

Main duties of the job

The support worker will support and engage with the client’s routines, assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene and mobility, administer medication, monitor health conditions, provide emotional support, maintain accurate care records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

We seek a dedicated support worker for our client in Milton Keynes, who enjoys an active lifestyle including music, TV, gym, and socialising. The role requires flexibility, experience with brain injury or complex needs, and excellent communication skills to build a supportive relationship.

Hours: Up to 48 hours per week over four days (08:00-20:00 Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and engaging with personalised routines, including the use of hoists.
  • Assisting with personal hygiene and mobility.
  • Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintaining accurate care records and reporting changes.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members.
