Libertatem Healthcare is seeking experienced Male Spinal Injury Support Workers to work with a male client in Guildford who has a C5/C6 injury. The client is a wheelchair user living in a fully adapted home.

Hours: Monday - Friday and Sundays, 24-hour shifts (11am-11am), including sleeping nights. Rota on a rolling basis. Candidates must be flexible and able to cover all shift patterns. Drivers with their own vehicle are required.

Responsibilities include personal care, household chores, social activities, and supporting rehab goals, following the client’s direction.

Main Tasks:

  • Supporting independence and rehabilitation
  • Providing personalized support according to support plans
  • Understanding and following care plans, seeking clarification when needed
  • Participating in care plan reviews
  • Working professionally with multidisciplinary teams
  • Promoting self-care and self-management for independence

Training & Background Checks: An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided. Support from a clinical lead nurse will be available. Double Covid vaccination may be mandatory depending on client needs.
