Libertatem Healthcare is seeking experienced Spinal Injury Support Workers to work with our male spinal injury client living in Milton Keynes. Due to client needs, the role requires 24/7 2:1 care during the night, with alternate weekends off.

Hours:

• 24 hours: 08:00 - 08:00 (with sleeping night)
• 12 hours: waking night 20:00 - 08:00

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting independence and rehabilitation
• Providing personalized, confidential support according to care plans
• Understanding and following care plans, seeking clarification when needed
• Participating in care plan reviews
• Working professionally with multidisciplinary teams
• Promoting self-care and independence
• Assisting with mobility, feeding, washing, bathing, dressing
• Managing neurogenic bladder and bowel care
• Supporting domestic tasks, meal prep, shopping
• Attending appointments and social outings
• Providing emotional support
• Using moving and handling equipment safely
• Monitoring skin integrity and health
• Administering medication as per policy
• Supporting rehabilitation activities
• Monitoring health indicators for issues like Autonomic Dysreflexia
• Respecting cultural and personal diversity
• Documenting progress and changes accurately
