We have an excellent opportunity for support workers to work alongside our client in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire.
Our client is a female in her 60's who has complex needs due to spinal injury including, manual handling, continence care, hypersensitivity to touch, neuropathic pain in the lower half of her body, memory issues and difficulty with emotional regulation, anxiety and depression. She lives in her own home (an adapted bungalow) enjoys audiobooks, her garden and creative writing. She's also looking to learn archery and wants to engage in her local community more.
Due to the client's support needs, the successful candidate can be either female or male, will need to have some experience working with complex needs, ideally mental health support and possess the softer skills of being a clear communicator with the motivation and ability to engage the client to build a solid, supporting relationship. Living as independent a life as possible is very important to our client so experience helping people grow and maintain this area is also key.
Pay: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour
Hours: 48 per week over five days (08:00 - 20:00 with sleep in's)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting, and engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists.
- Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
- Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
- Providing emotional support and companionship.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions.
- Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:- A genuine passion for working with people and providing care.

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
