Job summary

Abbots Care is seeking a reliable and compassionate care worker to support a male client in his 30s with a spinal cord injury in his home in Ruislip, Greater London. The role involves daily living assistance, personal care, and mobility support with two shifts (days and nights) including an hour crossover for repositioning and care.

Shifts run 7am–8pm with 0-hour contracts and pay £15.00 per hour on weekdays and £16.00 per hour on weekends.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of complex care experience (spinal injury or similar) is essential.
  • A respectful, empathetic and professional approach.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling (training provided).
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Bowel care and catheter care – full training will be provided by Abbots Care training department and our community nurse assessor.
  • Supporting transfers and mobility (using hoists and other equipment as needed).
  • Assisting with physiotherapy or rehabilitation exercises.
  • Accompanying the client to social activities, appointments and outings.
  • Light domestic tasks to support a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Offering companionship and respectful, person-centred support.

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate individuals to support our male client in his 30s living with a spinal cord injury. This role involves providing daily living assistance, personal careand support with mobility, whilstpromoting independence and quality of life.

Our client lives in Ruislip - Greater London, where he shares his home with his wife and young child. Our client requires 24hr assistance and support from our care team due to his spinal injury.

The hours are split into 2 shifts, both days and nights.

Day shifts: 7am - 8pm

There is a 1 hour cross over on each shift where we assist our client with repositioning and personal care.

We are offering 0 hour contracts with rates of £15.00 per hour weekdays and £16.00 per hour weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To have 1 year complex care experience is essential due to the needs of our client. (Spinal injury or similar)

  • Must be reliable and punctual
