Job summary

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust in London offers an opportunity for a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the London Spinal Cord Injury Centre (LSCIC) at Stanmore. You will provide specialist psychological assessment and interventions to inpatients and outpatients, within an established multidisciplinary team.

We expect Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology and HCPC registration.

Qualifications

Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology.
HCPC registration.

Responsibilities

Delivering psychological interventions across inpatient and outpatient settings tailored to spinal cord injury patients.
Collaborate with rehabilitation medicine, nursing, and allied teams to support coordinated care.
Contribute to rehabilitation planning and multidisciplinary discussions with psychological expertise.
Support patients and families with adjustment to spinal cord injury and post-discharge challenges.
Engage with spinal injury organisations to improve peer support and access to services.
Contribute to teaching and training of healthcare professionals.
Undertake research, audit and service evaluation to improve psychological care.
