Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Support Worker to assist within inpatient neuro-rehabilitation and outpatient services under the supervision of a Speech and Language Therapist. You will help deliver routine interventions for patients with communication and eating and drinking difficulties.

You will follow departmental guidelines, support therapy groups, prepare materials, collect data, and contribute to MDT activity.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting therapy or care for patients with neurological impairments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine therapy activities under SLT supervision.
• Assist in planning and running therapy groups.
• Prepare therapy materials and collect data as directed.
• Demonstrate SLT techniques to patients and carers.
• Develop personalised SLT resources with IT tools.
• Support administrative tasks for SLT services.
