Job summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join the Children’s Centre team. The role covers clinic and school settings, with base location confirmed at appointment (Serennu or Caerphilly Children’s Centre).

You will support therapists, work with children and families, and contribute to a caring, innovative team. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential; ABUHB offers supervision, training opportunities, and a supportive environment

Qualifications

• GCSE level education or equivalent and basic knowledge of speech and language therapy.
• Experience working collaboratively within a team and with families/education staff.
• Flexible, organised, enthusiastic and committed to personal development.

Responsibilities

• Support children with speech, language and communication needs and help implement therapy plans.
• Work closely with children, families and other professionals such as education staff.
• Assist therapists and deliver therapy in clinic and school settings as required.
