Job summary

Devon Partnership NHS Trust in Exeter invites applications for a Bank Band 4 Speech & Language Therapy Assistant. The post supports children with speech, language and communication needs across Devon Partnership Trust and is part of a system-wide allied health team.

The role involves assisting SLT services, running groups, supporting assessments, and developing resources under supervision. Flexible working options may be considered; applicants with relevant experience are encouraged.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Foundation level degree/equivalent level 5 qualification
• Training/knowledge in child development including fundamentals of communication and therapy for children

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing Speech and Language Therapy services to children with SLCN across the trust
• Assist with setting up/leading parent groups, children’s groups, assessments, interventions, and resource development under supervision
