Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to manage a caseload of paediatric speech, language and communication needs. You will assess, diagnose and treat a range of developmental and acquired disorders, providing evidence-based interventions and measuring outcomes.

You will also advise families, school staff and other professionals on communication needs, and develop programmes for others to deliver.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
• HCPC Licence to Practice is required.
• Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
• Experience with children and young people in community/education settings.
• Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic interventions for children.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of paediatric speech, language and communication disorders.
• Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of developmental and acquired disorders.
• Offer advice to families, early years staff and professionals on communication needs.
• Set up and monitor programmes carried out by other key workers.
• Write reports reflecting specialist knowledge.
