Service Care Solutions is recruiting an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to support a specialist day school in Bolton, Greater Manchester for Children and Younger People aged 7-18 with SEMH and LD needs.

The role is full-time (37.5h) with a salary up to £45,000 DOE plus a £150 welcome bonus. Benefits include paid school holidays, healthcare, pension, life insurance, and training opportunities. Working hours are 08:30-16:30, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required.
• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy essential.
• Experience with Children & Younger People required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the needs and views of our children and young people are at the heart of everything we do: offering evidence based, holistic and child-centred assessments and interventions.
• Use advanced specialist knowledge and levels of experience appropriately and effectively across a range of work practices which is underpinned by comprehensive and extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
• Undertake high-quality assessments of children and young people and make recommendations about appropriate therapeutic interventions for each child or young person, in accordance with individual assessed needs.
• Provide line management and clinical supervision to allocated Therapies Assistants within the setting and support Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapists within the setting.
• Work closely with children, young people, their parents and staff to ensure a personalised plan of delivery.
• Participate in service and practice development and identity training needs, develop and facilitate training sessions to staff and parents/carers.
