Job summary

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to improve communication and health outcomes for people with learning disabilities in a rural community setting. The role focuses on dysphagia management and collaboration with social services in a multi-disciplinary LD team.

Ideal candidates will be SLTs with post-basic dysphagia qualifications; however, progression to Band 6 is possible.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist
• Post basic dysphagia qualification or relevant experience in dysphagia
• Band 5 with view to progressing to Band 6
• Post-graduate dysphagia training provided

Responsibilities

• Develop Inclusive Communication within the service at strategic and organisational level
• Provide community-based SLT input in a multi-disciplinary learning disability team
• Travel between locations in a timely manner to deliver community services
