Job summary

Witherslack Group's The Secret Garden School in North Warwickshire is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will embed the group’s therapeutic practice model and contribute to the development of the clinical service.

You will deliver individualised interventions for children with complex needs and support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with HCPC.
• Experience delivering interventions to children with complex needs.
• Experience in educational or clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Embed the Group's therapeutic practice model in The Secret Garden School.
• Contribute to the development of the clinical service and MDT collaboration.
• Offer individualised therapeutic interventions and support to young people.
• Support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.

This role is based at The Secret Garden School, across the primary site.

The Secret Garden School is an independent, specialist day school providing high quality education for boys and girls. Based in North Warwickshire, the school meets the needs of pupils with special educational needs including ADHD, autism, speech, language & communication difficulties and social & emotional difficulties. Witherslack Group's therapeutic practice model focuses on the need for safety and connection, followed by relationships and connections and experiences and learning in order to provide our children with the platform to achieve. In this role you will be expected to be involved in embedding this model into The Secret Garden School and contributing to the development of the clinical service.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children's homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.

• Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC

• Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.
