Job summary

Qualifications

  • Confident supporting both 1:1 and small-group activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, proactive and adaptable.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting students with additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to secondary-aged students.
  • Support students with speech, language and communication needs.
  • Help students develop their communication, confidence and social skills.
  • Deliver or support targeted interventions as directed by teaching staff or specialists.
  • Adapt support to meet individual students' needs.
  • Encourage students to engage positively with learning.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO and other support staff.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on student progress.
  • Promote independence and positive behaviour.
