Job summary

Bishop Creighton Academy in the UK is seeking a Learning Assistant to support pupils across Early Years and Key Stage 1. The role focuses on addressing speech, language and communication needs and delivering targeted interventions to boost confidence and progress.

You will work alongside teachers in a semi-open plan setting, ensuring a calm, inclusive environment and contributing to pupils' holistic development. Right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent.
• Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship not available.
• Experience delivering rapid catch-up interventions for Early Years & KS1.
• Experience supporting children with speech, language and communication needs.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across classroom and structured activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups to build progress, independence and confidence.
• Deliver targeted interventions to close learning gaps and help pupils reach their potential.
• Support pupils' physical, emotional, social and educational development.
• Prepare resources and deliver personalised learning support.
