Speech and Language Therapist - Permanent Role - Aylesbury

Are you a qualified and passionate Speech and Language Therapist seeking a rewarding opportunity in a specialist school environment?

Academics is proud to be working on behalf of a leading specialist setting in Aylesbury to recruit a permanent Speech and Language Therapist to join their dynamic and dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and young adults with autism (ASC) and/or social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

The Role:

As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will:

Deliver assessments and evidence-based interventions tailored to learners with ASC and SEMH

Collaborate closely with educators, carers, and external professionals to promote best outcomes

Support the development and implementation of therapy plans that are integrated into the school day

Contribute to staff training, case reviews, and ongoing development of therapeutic provision

Essential Requirements:

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree/qualification

HCPC Registration and RCSLT Membership

Experience working with children/young people with ASC and/or SEMH

Strong knowledge of therapeutic approaches and current best practices

Desirable Attributes:

Membership of Clinical Excellence Networks (CENs)

Experience delivering training/workshops

Ability to manage a caseload independently

A methodical, proactive approach and excellent interpersonal skills
