Job summary

Beaumont College in Lancaster/Blackpool seeks a Speech and Language Therapist to join a vibrant multidisciplinary team. You will support young adults aged 18–25 with complex communication needs, autism, and associated disabilities, helping them access learning and maximise independence.

Working within a Total Communication Environment, you’ll manage caseloads, provide assessments, plan interventions and coach staff on AAC and dysphagia. A rewarding role within SalutemCare & Education.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as Speech and Language Therapist.
• Experience supporting young adults with complex communication needs.
• Knowledge of AAC and total communication approaches.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with dysphagia management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of students with complex communication needs.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate SLT interventions.
• Develop and monitor communication plans and progress.
• Deliver staff training on communication and dysphagia.
• Collaborate with OT/PT and education staff.
