Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification with current professional registration
• Knowledge of communication disorders and relevant assessment/treatment approaches
• Clear communication, sound clinical judgement and effective workload management
• Experience of working with patients and across professional teams
• Commitment to learning, reflective practice and compassionate care

Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing needs and create person-centred care plans
• Manage and prioritise a specialist caseload, including triaging referrals
• Provide advice, training and support to patients, families and professionals
• Maintain clear clinical records and handle information securely
• Support junior colleagues, students, audits and service improvement
