Job Advertisement: Speech and Language Therapist

Join our friendly, innovative team in the Enfield School Age Speech and Language Team. We are a diverse borough with a team of 35 full-time equivalents, offering varied experiences across interventions for school-age children. We value staff retention and career development, with opportunities in speech sound pathways and dysfluency pathways, suitable for newly qualified or experienced staff, with roles as Band 5 or Band 6.

Main Duties

• Support children and young people with Education, Health and Care plans across mainstream and special schools.
• Develop facilitative communication environments and contribute to communication-focused curricula.
• Participate in CPD, departmental meetings, clinical audits, and projects.
• Deliver training to professionals and parents, initially alongside senior colleagues.
• Supervise Speech and Language Therapy students and LSAs/TAs.
• Opportunities for newly qualified therapists include a preceptorship program.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Recognised speech and language therapy degree or equivalent
• HCPC registration
• Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists membership
• Driver/owner

Skills and Experience

• Experience in delivering training and creating care plans based on assessments
• Proficient in report writing with clinical reasoning
• Experience working with children with speech and communication needs at primary and secondary levels
• Knowledge of SEN and relevant guidance
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Information

This role is subject to a DBS check. Salary ranges from £42,939 to £50,697 per annum, inclusive of HCAs.
