Base: Wayside House; but will be required to travel across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Full-time/part-time hours considered. To support young people at key times, some work may be required outside of usual office hours.

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our Autism Intensive Support Team for Coventry and Warwickshire.

If you are driven, passionate, and want to work with Autistic adults in mental health crisis at risk of hospital admission, we want to hear from you.

The team is a specialist, multidisciplinary team currently consisting of Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nursing and Therapy Assistants, and Assistant Psychologists.

Main Duties Of The Job
  • Leading on service developments
  • Conducting clinical assessments
  • Developing communication plans
  • Providing specialist speech interventions
  • Reviewing targets
  • Performing risk assessments
  • Implementing autism-informed interventions to reduce the risk of hospital admission due to mental health crises
  • Applying trauma-informed practices
  • Creating autism profiles as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Providing individualized training to families and care providers
