Job summary

Axcis Education is partnering with a primary school in Birmingham to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with communication needs.

You will work with children aged 4–11 who have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), using PECS and Makaton in a nurturing environment. The role runs full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, in Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with speech and language needs or SEND
• Fluent in Arabic
• Knowledge of communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or similar
• A patient, caring, and empathetic approach
• Strong ability to build meaningful relationships with students
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Availability for full-time, long-term work (Mon-Fri)

• Salary: £92.63 per day

Role
