Job summary

Taiko Foods is seeking a Specification Technologist to ensure legal compliance and safety of products and packaging through managing specifications for ingredients, raw materials and packaging. You will also handle product labels, artwork and data for customer websites, and support NPD projects.

You will liaise with NPD and suppliers to ensure accuracy, legality and traceability, while contributing to HACCP and BRC compliance across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and maintaining product specifications and packaging documentation.
• Strong written and spoken English and ability to interpret regulations.
• Ability to manage customer websites and databases.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage and maintain specifications for each Taiko product.
• Source and maintain specifications for ingredients, raw materials and packaging.
• Manage customer websites and data as required.
• Facilitate packaging artwork and label copy for new products or changes.
• Maintain approved label and ingredient packaging registers.
• Liaise with NPD technologist to support projects.
• Conduct supplier risk assessments and maintain approved supplier registers.
• Ensure allergen management and HACCP compliance; support BRC requirements.
• Ensure traceability with seafood, meat and packaging suppliers.
