Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking a Specification Technologist to create and approve customer specifications, ensuring artwork and materials meet deadlines with meticulous accuracy. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams across sites, including Midlands locations, with occasional factory exposure.

You will review packaging and raw material specs, support NPD launches, and maintain strong relationships with retailers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Food-related qualification required or equivalent.
• Experience writing food specifications for major retailers.
• Familiarity with Food Information for Consumers Regulation (FIC).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Complete finished product specifications and approve artwork in accordance with critical paths to facilitate successful product launches.
• Work alongside Ingredients and Packaging Specifications Technologist to approve raw material and packaging specifications.
• Work closely with NPD to integrate with NPD launch process to ensure successful product launches.
• Internal liaison and support for Site Technical and external liaison for retail customers.
