Job summary

Our client in Worcester is seeking a Specification Sales Executive to drive specification opportunities in construction projects. You will identify prospects, contact architects and specifiers, and guide opportunities through the sales cycle with training provided.

Strong communication and CRM skills are essential as you build lasting customer relationships. Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, salary £32,000–£36,000, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, private healthcare, and bonus

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, sales, internal sales, account management or business development.
• Confidence starting conversations and developing new customer relationships.
• Strong communication, questioning and listening skills.
• Proactive approach to following up opportunities.
• Good organisation and experience maintaining customer records or using a CRM system.
• Interest in learning about technical products; construction industry experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective customers, construction projects and specification opportunities.
• Make initial contact with architects, designers, specifiers and other decision-makers.
• Introduce the company and its products by telephone, email and online meetings.
• Build relationships, understand customer needs and qualify potential opportunities.
• Maintain contact with prospective customers and follow up at the appropriate stages of their projects.
• Keep accurate records of conversations, project details and next steps on the CRM system.
• Work with the Sales and Technical teams to ensure customers receive the right information and support.
• Develop knowledge of the company s products, applications and specification process through full training.
• Provide product information and support customer presentations and CPDs as knowledge develops.
• Help progress specification opportunities through the sales pipeline.
