An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint two Specialty Doctors to our Anaesthetics and Critical Care Department at Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

The post holder will join a team of Consultants and Specialty Doctors responsible for providing anaesthetics and critical care services to the University Health Board in Cwm Taf Morgannwg. The Specialty Doctor will be based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant, but may also be required to work at Prince Charles in Merthyr Tydfil, Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend, and other sites within the organization.
The Specialty Doctor is a key member of the department and will be encouraged to take on lead roles in areas such as teaching and training. The department is a close-knit group of anaesthetists who value team ethos. The Specialty Doctors enjoy a good balance of independence and support from the consultant team.
The post includes participation in an on-call rota (1:8), a 10-session job plan plus three additional sessions, with enhanced pay for on-call duties.
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of NHS Wales, providing primary, secondary, and community health services to around 450,000 residents across Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda, Cynon Taf.
