Job description

We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help recruit a Specialty Doctor in ENT on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful ENT department.

Our client provides healthcare services to residents in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda Cynon Taf, serving a population of around 450,000. Located between Wales's capital city and scenic areas, their vision is to care for communities by preventing ill-health, promoting better health, and providing excellent services, including strengthened home, primary, and community care. The ENT department supports inpatient and emergency services, fostering strong relationships within and outside the department, including with medical, nursing, secretarial, support staff, GPs, and management.

The successful candidate will undertake duties such as:

  1. Contributing to the multidisciplinary team using evidence-based guidelines.
  2. Participating in the on-call rota.
  3. Supporting high-quality service delivery within departmental policies.
  4. Engaging in regular clinical audits.
  5. Participating in a 1:5 on-call commitment, including out-of-hours work.
  6. Joining a structured training and education program.
