Job summary

NHS Lothian invites applications for a permanent Specialty Doctor post in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, based at St John’s Hospital. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) within the Anaesthesia and Theatres departments.

Entry Criteria for a Specialty Doctor:

A doctor appointed to this grade:

shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC);

And

• shall have completed at least four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a less than full-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT);

Or

• shall have equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.
