Allianz Trade in UK & Ireland seeks a Credit Associate/Underwriter based in London to steer its credit portfolio in Corporate Finance and/or Structured Credit. You will join a 20+-strong credit team, collaborating with global hubs in London, New York, Singapore and Paris to identify, review and underwrite opportunities, including sovereign and corporate exposures in emerging markets.

Qualifications

• University degree preferably at Masters level. Recognized financial analyst qualifications would be advantageous.
• At least 3-5 year-experience (Internship / Apprenticeship included) in Structured Finance or Trade Credit Insurance, Banking Industry, Multilaterals or ECAs, preferably with exposure to Corporates & Trade Finance.
• Strong analytical skills (corporate & financial, sectorial, ESG and political risk as well as transactional analysis) & exposure to corporates in various sectors.
• Proficiency in reviewing and commenting on loan documentation (including complex legal structures).

Responsibilities

• Support the origination team to pre-screen and identify bankable projects, and to grow and develop new business transactions.
• Review and monitor credit risk, conduct sectorial and financial risk analyses, and liaise with country risk analysts.
• Underwrite transactions within risk authority levels or submit to Credit Committee for large decisions.
