Job summary

Allianz Trade Credit is seeking a London-based Credit Associate / Underwriter to drive deployment and steering of its credit portfolio on funded and unfunded basis. You will join a global, multi-hub team focused on sovereign and corporate risk across emerging markets, with a strong emphasis on AI-enabled tools and evolving credit techniques.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance or related field; strong analytical skills.
• Experience in Structured Finance, Trade Credit Insurance or project/export finance preferred.
• Ability to review complex loan documentation and assess risk across sectors.

Responsibilities

• Support origination team to pre-screen and identify bankable projects and grow new business transactions.
• Evaluate and monitor credit risk for insurance cover inquiries; perform sectoral and financial analyses.
• Conduct complex risk assessments for structured finance; participate in market meetings and deal discussions.
• Collaborate with country risk analysts and credit committee for underwriting decisions.
• Manage existing portfolio risk through monitoring and mitigation actions.
