Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust in Yeovil is seeking a Specialty Administrator Team Leader to manage the Colorectal and General Surgery admin team, delivering high quality, efficient service. Qualifications

• Diploma/NVQ4 in Business Administration or equivalent.
• AMSPAR or British Medical Secretary Diploma (medical terminology) or equivalent.
• RSA/OCR III typing/word processing including audio typing.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day management and leadership to the admin team.
• Act as escalation point for queries and oversee workload distribution.
• Plan clinical staff rotas and support scheduling and rescheduling of activity.
• Oversee day-to-day admin via correspondence, phone and email.
• Support minute taking and clinical correspondence.
• Liaise to gather patient information for timely access.
• Flag RTT breaches to Operational Support Manager.
• Participate in team and Trust meetings.
