The appointment is for a Locum Consultant in Colorectal Surgery within our friendly and well-established GI Surgical Clinical Management Group at UHL. There will be opportunity to work with colleagues in the development of new and effective patient care pathways in a department which strives to provide excellent services. This post is designed to support the existing provision of Colorectal surgery. Key aspects of the role will include emergency Colorectal surgery and support for the general on-call rota. There will be a requirement for the post holder to be involved in emergency care. You will have the opportunity to discuss personal aspirations and any on-going training requirements which we would look to support and facilitate as part of your continuing professional development whilst in the roleMain duties of the job The post-holder will support the delivery of high-quality patient care through clinical excellence, supervision, and continuous improvement.
