The successful candidate will join the Urology team, which includes 8 consultants, 5 middle grades, specialist nurses, and junior doctors. Responsibilities include supporting inpatient and outpatient services, working in operating theatres, wards, day surgery units, diagnostic centres, and clinics.
The Trust offers a range of urological services, including robotic & laparoscopic surgery (nephrectomies, pyeloplasty, adrenalectomy), stone & endourology procedures (PCNL, ureteroscopic laser, ESWL), prostate surgeries (TURPs, UroLift), pelvic floor and endometriosis surgeries, paediatric urological surgeries, bladder surgeries (TURBTs, Botox), and general urological day-case procedures (circumcisions, hydrocoeles).
Job plans will be discussed upon appointment with the Clinical Director and reviewed annually, covering clinical duties, teaching, research, education, and managerial responsibilities. Additional programmed activities may be offered, up to a maximum of 2 for full-time posts, based on service needs and trust objectives.
