Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join the Urogynaecology Mesh Service. You will provide clinical and clerical support within a multidisciplinary team, helping patients with daily living activities and assisting in specialist procedures.

The role offers permanent, full-time hours, based at The New Victoria Hospital, with a Monday–Friday pattern and opportunities for learning and career progression within NHSGGC.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare support or patient-facing role.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organisational skills and prioritisation.
• Clear verbal and written communication with compassion.
• Experience using IT systems and data recording.
• Capable of independent work and adapting to priorities.
• Committed to high standards of patient care and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to the MDT within Urogynaecology Mesh Service.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and care.
• Assist nurses and clinicians during procedures.
• Carry out clinical duties including venepuncture and specimen collection.
• Conduct telephone assessments and escalate concerns.
• Assist with stock control, housekeeping, and equipment use.
• Undertake admin duties including scheduling and reception duties.
