Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a community nurse to support the nursing team in delivering safe patient care across community settings. The post is permanent and full-time (36 hours) in East Dunbartonshire HSCP, with 5 shifts per week, including day and back shifts.

You will perform a range of delegated nursing duties, including personal care, medications, specimen collection, wound care, and palliative support, while maintaining confidentiality and working with

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work with people and as part of a team.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Full driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing team in delivering effective patient care in a community setting.
• Undertake a varied workload of delegated nursing activities, including hygiene, toileting, medications and wound care.
• Support community clinics, stock control, record keeping and induction of new staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and contribute to audits and multidisciplinary working.
