Job summary

NHSGGC in Glasgow is seeking a Community Nurse to support the nursing team in delivering safe, patient-centred care within a community setting. The post is permanent, full-time (36 hours) with shifts across 5 days, including day and back shifts.

The role involves a varied workload of delegated nursing tasks, assisting with personal care, medication administration, wound care, and supporting patients with complex care needs, while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience
• Ability to work with people and as part of a team
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Full drivers licence

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing team in delivering patient care in a community setting with minimal supervision.
• Undertake delegated nursing activities, including personal hygiene, medication administration, specimen collection, wound care.
• Support community clinics, stock management, record keeping, emergencies and induction of new staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and participate in audits and multidisciplinary working.
