Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to join a KS2 SEMH team in a highly supportive special school in the UK. You will deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH, autism and complex learning needs.

Working term-time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, you will collaborate with teachers to implement IEPs, track progress and create a trauma-informed, positive learning environment that helps each pupil flourish.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with SEN, SEMH, or EBD pupils.
• Passion for inclusive, practical, and interactive education.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Right to work in the UK (Enhanced DBS check required).

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored 1:1, small group, and whole-class learning support for KS2 pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) alongside class teachers to track student progress.
• Foster a safe, positive, and trauma-informed classroom environment.
• Support pupils' emotional regulation, well-being, and social development.
